About

Halden Systems was started in 2024 by two engineers who had spent a decade running other people's infrastructure and wanted to do less of it, more deliberately.

Focus

We work on Linux hosts and the systems around them: provisioning, build and release pipelines, backup and restore, and the documentation that keeps any of it understandable after the original author has moved on. We do not manage applications, we do not staff a 24/7 rota, and we do not sell licences.

Engagements

Fixed scope and fixed price. A typical engagement is an audit, a written plan, and a sequence of changes reviewed in small pull requests. Everything is built on infrastructure you own: no proprietary control panel, no monthly licence, no lock-in.

Location and availability

We work with clients in Europe and North America, mostly in English, with occasional site visits. New work is scheduled from the following quarter onwards.
